Grand Circle Small Cruise Ships hits gold again

The Boston-based Grand Circle Small Ship Cruises has been named to Conde Nast Traveller’s Gold List of the World’s Best Cruise Lines for the sixth year in a row.  More than 25,000 Conde Nast Traveller readers participated in an extensive survey from which the Gold List is established.

Established in 1998, Grand Circle Small Ship Cruises has grown from a single, custom-built river ship to more than 50 small ships today, ranging from custom-built river ships, four-star plus 50-passenger ocean-faring ships, and exclusive private charters.

To earn the right to be included on Conde Nast Traveller’s 17th Annual Gold List, Grand Circle Small Ship Cruises earned good votes from 25,000 readers who participated in the survey.  Readers scored the cruise lines based on the following seven categories: itineraries, cabins, service, food, design, activities, and shore excursions. Grand Circle Small Ship Cruises’ overall score was 87.1 out of 100.  The cruise line earned the highest marks for its itineraries, service and shore excursions.

According to the website of parent company Grand Circle Travel: “Travelling with Grand Circle is about more than sightseeing. It’s about immersing yourself in other cultures, sharing the warm camaraderie of like-minded American travellers, and feeling comfortable, safe, and well-cared for every step of the way. It’s not simply a destination you’ll find, but a profound awareness of the life-changing joy of cultural connections, and we’ve been creating those connections for more than 50 years.”
