Sydney moonlight market rocks

The Rocks is one of the most historic areas of Sydney.  It was one of the first places to be settled when the First Fleet arrived in 1788. The area is still home to many heritage sandstone buildings, great pubs, excellent restaurants, art galleries, great shops and entertainment.

It’s also one of the easiest places to find in Sydney, being located adjacent to Circular Quay and right underneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge.  Yes, just look for the big bridge on the city side of the harbour (it’s right opposite a big opera house), and you’ve found The Rocks.

As the Southern Hemisphere summer begins so starts The Rocks Markets by Moonlight, which means that balmy summer nights never felt so good.

After a long week, kick back and catch up every Friday night at The Rocks Markets by Moonlight.

Shop under the stars at 60 speciality stalls in The Rocks’ cobblestone laneways and tap into Sydney’s live music scene with free outdoor gigs throughout The Rocks.

Feed your hunger and choose from an array of gourmet food or something sweet and delectable and satisfy your inner shopaholic with head-turning original fashion, jewellery, arts and crafts and home wares.

The Rocks is a terrific place to visit at any time – but especially good when you can browse for bargains, enjoy a good feed and be entertained for free.
