Glamping Western Australia

If don’t mind the eco-friendly idea of falling asleep under the stars, or sitting around a campfire wiling the night away has some appeal, but the reality of pitching a tent and sleeping on bumpy ground does not, then glamping could be just the thing for you.

Glamping, is simply a term that is being used to describe camping in luxury, or glamorous camping, if you like.  Glamping is becoming popular the world over, and there are a couple of places in the wilds of Western Australia where glamping is the answer to providing environmentally responsible facilities in areas that that are so fragile further developments would destroy the very reason for visiting them.

Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat is one such glamping facility.  It is a unique eco resort set in a pristine and untouched landscape just one hour’s drive south of Broome. The retreat offers guests a perfect parallel of Kimberley beach and bush with the comfort and class of a resort. Accommodation is provided through a variety of beautifully appointed, solar powered Eco Villas and luxurious safari-style eco tents.

These tents are designed for maximum comfort. Each tent has an internal measurement of 6 metres x 4.2 metres. It is made from the highest quality canvas and stylishly outfitted with: king-size bed, two bedside tables with reading lamps; luxurious bed linen; three-shelved wardrobe kit, large storage chest, ensuite shower and toilet and fly-screen ventilation. Each tent has a 20 litre esky in which you can store small snacks or drinks.

Also in the Kimberley is the Glamping site at Emma Gorge in El Questro Wilderness Park where you can stay in safari style tented cabins.  The raised roofs of the tented cabins allow tropical sounds and scents to filter in as you drift off to sleep. Beds are fitted with crisp, quality linen and comfortable pillows, while fans help make warmer nights more restful. All Tented Cabins have their own private en suite bathroom facilities. Bedding includes one Queen bed and two single beds, maximum 4 people.

Karijini National Park is one of the best national parks in Western Australia, and given the sensational nature of some of those national parks, Karijini exceeds expectations with its wonderful gorges and water holes.  Karijini Eco Retreat which is the first and only permanent up-market, luxury accommodation in the Park!
