Ski Lake Tahoe

hvnlymntnBroaching both Nevada and California, Lake Tahoe is a beautiful deep blue water lake that is surrounded by magnificent mountains.

A popular year-round tourist destination, Lake Tahoe is particularly busy in winter because of its many resorts and ski runs that are suitable for skiers of all skill levels.

I must admit that I am a hugely untalented skier, but this is due to the fact that I live in a place that is both very hot and reasonably flat.  Where I live we never ever see snow, let alone know what to do when we are actually standing on it.

Fortunately, the good folks at Lake Tahoe have much expertise when it comes to skiing, and they even attack the slopes on skis which resemble the feet of a duck.

To guide me through the fine art of skiing, and to talk about Lake Tahoe and his duck-shaped skiis is Mike Frye who is Media Relations Manager with the Lake Tahoe Visitor Authority.

Enjoy this podcast of a conversation that I had with Mike which has convinced me that skiing duck style is definitely the way to go.

Yo Steve, It’s true that the skiing around Lake Tahoe is very awesome. So many resorts with so much terrain, such beautiful scenery, you never get bored. That’s why I live around there and ski there as often as I can in the winter and hike there in the summer. Nothing could be better.
